“Art has been a lifelong pursuit in a variety of mediums,” explained White when asked how he got involved with the arts. “Communicating through art just made sense with the way I was naturally wired.”
Craftoberfest is a series of events that are being presented as an alternative to the Molson-Coors sponsored main event, and way to highlight the growing number of craft brewers in the region, and Ontario as a whole. The goal is to get us “back in touch with the region’s rich heritage” and to be “a space for our community to come together.”
Built in 1893, the Walper Terrace Hotel in Kitchener has been a mainstay of the downtown Kitchener landscape before it was even known as Kitchener.
Back then, it was know as the Town of Berlin, and the hotel commonly abbreviated to just “The Walper,” was a shining architectural example of what locals were capable of. However, date that building 121 years and one will find that it could use a bit of a facelift.
