The Community Edition Welcomes A New Editor-In-Chief

The Community Edition is excited to announce our new editor-in-chief Harleen Kaur Dhillon, following the planned departure of our outgoing editor-in-chief Melissa Embury.

Harleen is an experienced journalist who comes to us from Imprint, the University of Waterloo’s student newspaper where she was managing editor. She also edits for Baaz News. She is passionate about the Kitchener-Waterloo community.

In her free time, Harleen enjoys reading, drawing, watching movies and listening to podcasts. She has recently taken up calligraphy, although she’s currently out of ink.

Harleen has already started working with the rest of our team and we are excited to see the direction she takes the Community Edition. The next issue will be out May 5. Until then, you can read our latest content for April at communityedition.ca

Have a story idea? You can contact Harleen at editor@communityedition.ca

Care Lucas is Executive Director of WLU Student Publications, and Publisher of TCE. You may have bumped into her at Steel Rails over the years, or in one of the Region’s many magical record stores where she regularly combs through stacks of vinyl.
