Aliyha Fraser started Lucky Bug Farm in 2021 with the goal of cultivating a more equitable and sustainable food system in Southwestern Ontario. Lucky Bug Farm is located on a one quarter acre market garden in Baden, Ontario —the territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee and Mississauga peoples.
Lucky Bug Farm runs mini market stands on Thursdays and Saturdays until mid-October. These mini markets are held as pick up locations for Lucky Bug’s community supported agriculture (CSA) boxes, and these mini markets are where anyone can buy the extra herbs and vegetables from the farm each week!
On Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m., you can find Lucky Bug Farm’s mini market at Legacy Greens in downtown Kitchener (18 Ontario Street North) and down the Iron Horse trail at Wooden Boat Food Company (20 Hurst Avenue Unit 1) from 11 am to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
