WUDDUP DOG, 763 KING ST. E

Wuddup Dog is a small shop with a whole lot of character. They carry 18 different kinds of hot dogs on their regular menu with an assortment of deep fried desserts for those with a sweet-tooth. It stays open late for after-bar crowds in pursuit of something greasy to eat

FIFTY’S GRILL & DELI, 426 HESPELER ROAD 

Fifty’s is a popular family restaurant with large portions at affordable prices. Located quite literally in the middle of Cambridge, they have an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu with fast service, making it an ideal location for a family outing. They also have a variety of tasty seafood selections for those who want to dive into something a little more fishy.

Andy’s pick: Chicken Tender Appetizer

THE AGING OAK, 3 QUEEN ST. E

One of downtown Hespeler’s newest additions, The Aging Oak, is an intimate space with a menu that features modern dishes with a rather sophisticated taste, paired nicely with a selection of whiskey and wines. It has a variety of sharable items for an ideal night out with friends and a classy appeal that inspires a solid spot for a first date.

EARNIE’S ROADHOUSE, 7 QUEEN ST. W

Eating at Ernie’s is about immersing yourself in a little Hespeler history while making some new memories of your own. The restaurant provides spacious indoor seating and a balcony view in one of downtown Hespeler’s historic buildings. You’ll find a variety of satisfying apps, lunch and dinner options to be had over good conversation with friends and family.

TOASTERS FAMILY DINER, 1531 EAGLE ST. N

Toasters is a bustling little breakfast and brunch restaurant where you’ll hear the servers greet the locals by name. The delightfully welcoming atmosphere is a true testament to the kind of experience this Preston diner has to offer. They serve savory breakfast classics with meat and veggie options on the menu to enjoy.

L.A. FRANKS, 104 WATER ST. N 

L.A. Franks is a fast-food summer staple in Galt. It offers a variety of hotdogs, burgers, fries and milkshakes along with outdoor-only seating by the Grand River. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and walk along the water while taking in the sunny day and downtown Galt’s historic architecture. Just remember, this little roadside stop is cash only.
