Welcome to 2015, Waterloo Region!

As 2014 came to a close, we told you about the Community Edition’s fantastic redesign. Now that we’ve jumped into the new year, we’re giving you a first taste of our dynamic creation. It isn’t just our print face that’s changed, but our web presence and our name as well! Now you can find us @TheCommunityEd, at Facebook.com/CommunityEdition and online at http://communityedition.ca.

The Community Edition is a paper about Waterloo Region – the good and the bad. We report off-the-beaten-path about the things that make our
home the ideal place to live. We sing stories about the underbelly of what makes our region work, play and thrive. Since we all know our region has room to grow, we report on the issues facing its residents with a style and edge all our own.

This month you’ll find stories about gender representation, soup, photography and more. This is your Waterloo Region and this is your Community Edition. We are a small but mighty team and we’re always looking to grow.

Interested in penning something of your own? Let us know by emailing communityeditor@thecord.ca. Don’t have time to write? Then let us take a crack at it by telling us what gets under your skin, what makes your heart jump, and why you live, breathe and play in Waterloo Region.

EVERY MONTH, ONE EDITOR GIVES A REFLECTION ON CONTENT. WANT TO BE PART OF THE TEAM? EMAIL COMMUNITYEDITOR@THECORD.CA.
